People from communities across Alaska are gathering virtually for the 2020 Alaska Federation of Natives Annual Convention. Attendees are addressing many critical issues of public policy and government. COVID-19 has impacted tribal communities across the state, but the work of leaders continues amid the pandemic. Alaska Native cultural teachings, wisdom of elders and Indigenous resilience are helping many people navigate through the pandemic. This episode of ANV includes interviews with a tribal leader, U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski, and Native women’s advocates.
