Based in AAA, the mix includes Rock, Folk, Blues, Reggae, Dub, Electronica, HipHop, World and Roots music, and an excellent selection of contemporary Native artists. Host Gregg McVicar (Tlingit) began broadcasting in 1972 in the heyday of freeform radio and dives deep into an expansive music library of favorites and new finds. Old School meets Cool School. The show runs 5-hours every day, seven days a week.

Listeners are invited to explore the rich variations of sound, language and indigenous expression from the Arctic to South America — listening for their messages and fundamental contributions to the evolution of American music. Each week, Earthsongs gives Public Radio and Internet listeners the chance to explore the Native influences that help shape and define contemporary American music. Host Alexis Sallee (Inupiaq/ Mexican American) provides knowledgeable commentary, weekly artist features and a smart music selection in a way that is unexpected, warm and culturally authentic.
Soul Deluxe
DJ Byron Fenix (Navajo/Hopi) satiates the musical taste buds of listeners with an eclectic entree of electronic, disco, funk, hip-hop, house, jazz, and r&b that will keep listeners ears glued to their radios. Soul Deluxe is a two hour weekly program from the studios of Radio Phoenix in Arizona.

Whether you are a young buck or old school traditional – Talking Drum offers a mix of the best new and old songs recorded in studios or live at pow wows big and small. Northern Style, Southern Style, Hand Drum, Contest, Honor Songs – Talking Drum is a weekly program that offers something for all pow wow music fans. Talking Drum is produced at the KWSO studios on the Warm Springs Reservation in Oregon.
